Chaotic dynamics of dripping fauset system is studied both experimentally and numerically. Analyzing the drop shapes captured by a high-speed camera, we demonstrate the low-dimensional chaotic attractor of this system. A one-dimensional map fuction obtained from the attractor describes the dynamics of the falling drops throughout a wide range of flow rates. Apotential surface illustrated by the numerical simulation gives an intuitive understanding of the geometry of the chaotic attractor.
