Recently, Gilmore et al have proposed an algorithm which is used to general r-dimensional unitary group U (r). Several reports show their results of its application to the Interacting Boson Model. In the U (6) group of s and d bosons in the Interacting Boson Model, three subgroups are considered as a limit. 1. U (5) symmetries which show a pattern of the vibrational band 2. U (3) symmetries which show a pattern of the rotational band 3. 0 (6) symmetries which is assumed to be applied to tri-axial rotor or γ-unstable nuclei These symmetries are recogniged as shape phases. Our purpose is to find what kind of boson-boson interactions in the Interacting Boson Model give closer energy levels to the experimental data, and then which isotopes or isotones exhibit the second phase transitions. We use the exact solutions of Moshinsky et al for the states of U (5) symmetries and apply them to calculate matrix elements of the full U (6) Interacting Boson Hamiltonian as indicated by Moshinsky et al. It is expected that the Pd, Cd, Te, Xe, Ba, Os and Pt isotopes may become candidates which exhibit U (5) 〓 0 (6) phase transitions. Further investigations should be performed including a validity of the U (6) symmetries.
