• An improved Gibbs weighted-mean algorithm, which is an algorithm for determining a hypothtical composite clock from an ensemble of clocks, was proposed in [2]. A part of the algorithm is modified and the underlying philosophy of the procedure is elucidated by using a maximal-likelihood-sense criterion.
