1) There are 27 synonyms of 'war, fight, battle.' 2) From the point of word-formation we may classify the 27 words into three kinds. (1) Simple word (12 words) (2) Prefix+Simple word (3words) (3) Compound word (12 words) 3) From the point of meaning we may classify them into three kinds. (1) 'Simple meaning' word (7 words) (2) 'Double meaning' word (6 words) (3) 'Figurative meaning' word (14 words) 4) The frequency of each word is as follows. (1) Simple word (109 examples) (2) Prefix+Simple words (7 examples) (3) Compound word (21 examples)'Simple word' is used in the greatest number of all the 137 examples (79.6^),'compound word' is used in 15.3^, and 'prefix + simple word' is used in 5.1^. So in the number of words 'simple word' and 'compound word' indicate the same number, but in the number of examples 'simple word' is used about 5.2 times as many as 'compound word.'
