The results of an extensive experimental investigation on the buckling and pre-buckling deformation of partially liquid-filled thin cylindrical shells under axial compressive load are presented and discussed. The buckling load coefficient obtained for various partially liquid potential head in the shell, in order. Pre-buckling deformation is measured for distributed deflection of longitudinal and circumferential direction on the wall of shell. Also buckling behavior of thin shell subjected to internal pressure (compressive air) in partially liquid-filled cylinder brings out. As the higher liquid potential head in a shell, the buckling load coefficient goes up. The specimens of cylindrical shells used for these tests were made of Lummiror polyester sheet. For a liquid in this experiment, water is used.
