In the picture signal transmission system, it is necessary to correct the relative gain distortion of the luminance to chrominance signal without producing a relative delay distortion. The paper describes method to equalize above distortion by means of passive and active equalizers. For this purpose, the generalized Bessel polynomials are used to design the passive equalizer. In order to provide a wider range of correction a new active variable gain equalizer is also designed. These methods realize a simple straight manipulation.
