Nutritive values of 66meals prepared by students as a practical exercise in 1983〜 1984 were calculated. Calculation was performed on Sord Mark V223 computer using the 4th edition of Japanese Food Composition Table. Referring to Japanese Dietary Allowance for 20 aged women, obtained data showed that each meal supplied sufficient- ly one-third of their requiroement in every nutrient, but some meals left to be desired in respect of excessive supplies of Fat or Natrium. 66meals were conveniently classed into 4groups according to their menus:Japanese Type, Western Type, Chinese Type and Japanese-Western-Compromised. Numbers of meals of each group were 24,22,10, and 10, respectively. Mean value of each nutrient, its standard deviation and Protein- Fat-Carbohydrate Ratio of each group were calculated. A statistically significant diffrence(α< 0.05)between groups was found in every nutrient except Non-fibrous, Fiber, Calcium, Potassium and Ascorbic Acid by the method of Analysis of Variance conducted by the one way classification.
