This paper is a research on models in Campus Ministry in the USA. It is based on personal interviews with about 50 Campus Ministers from all over the United States during the Catholic Campus Association Study-Week from January 2-6,1986 in Miami, Florida, as well as on visits to about 20 Catholic and State Universities and Commuter Colleges in the USA during Graduate Studies at the Institute of Pastoral Studies at Loyola University in Chicago in 1985-1986. A few characteristic models in Campus Ministry are introduced in greater length, others are referred to in the general observations. The study concludes with a vision of an effective Ministry for non-Christian students at Holy Spirit Women's Junior College in Akita, Japan.
