The aim of this research was to study the attitude of Japanese students in the north of Japan toward Christianity, and at the same time to collect statistical and descriptive information useful to future evangelization efforts. All information was collected through a questionnaire given to 590 students at Holy Spirit Women's Junior College in Akita, aged between 18 and 20. The survey indicates that many students favorably perceive Christianity. However, certain measures of exposure to Christianity do not seem to be satisfactory. The results of this survey may help educators, especially at Catholic Colleges, to reflect on how to demonstrate their educational philosophy more clearly, positively and effectively.
