In the Counseling room at Kyoritsu College of Pharmacy, we give the "Baum Test" to all new students every year. We analyze the sheets according to the method that has been adopted at Kyoto University. Continuing the first report I wrote in 1986,I would like to submit a second report on how the Baum Test results have changed in the 17 years, from 1978 to 1995,I've been performing it. I've witnessed a very interesting change between two tests given to the same group in April and February. The common changes in the second year of testing were : 1. They put more emphasis on the fruit during the second Test. 2. The pattern within the tree trunk decreases. 3. The number of students who draw a Hosan-type tree on the second Test decreased. 4. The amount of blank space remaining on the page decreased. The above results indicate that the student has adjusted to College life and uses their free time effectively after having been in College for one year. On the other hand, it indicates that the student doesn't reveal themselves completely. The fruit emphasized repressents a level of self-worth that will enable the student to achieve their optimum in change.
