The purpose of this study is to investigate the interrelationships between surface tension-concentration curves and compositions in mixed adsorbed film and micelle. The surface tension of the aqueous solutions of anionic/anionic and amphoteric/cationic surfactant mixtures was measured by Wilhelmy type surface balance as a function of the total molality and composition of the surfactants at 20℃. The amounts of adsorption at the air/water interface and the compositions in the mixed adsorbed film and micelle were evaluated by use of the thermodynamic equations. It was found that both adsorbed film and micelle are richer in the hydrophobic molecules than that in the bulk solutions. Both the composition in the mixed adsorbed film and micelle were not so different from the composition in bulk solution when the surface tension-concentration curves did not different too greatly.
