Investigation of a Method of Changing Broadly Matching Frequency Characteristics Using Open-Hole Ferrite Absorber

An open-hole type EM absorber is investigated as a countermeasure for preventing the leakage or interference of EM waves from an office equipped with a microwave or millimeter-wave LAN system. To clarify its design, a theoretical analysis based on the Spatial Network Method and an empirical investigation were conducted. It was proved that the characteristics of matching frequency of a new type EM absorber, the stained glass type, are effective, even if there are slots in parallel to the direction of magnetic field.
