It is the most important problem for chracteristics analysis of antennas to obtain exact current distributions on antennas. Especially, in order to put planer antennas on an MMIC, it has been needed to obtain antenna characteristics more exactly. Cylindrical or planer antennas have been analyzed by 1-dimensional for current. But, if radius, width, or thickness of antennas can't ignore compared with wavelength or antenna length, errors between calculated values by 1-diminsional analysis and experimental values exist. In this paper, 2-D analysis for planer antennas is formulated by using the integral equation method, and it is applied to 1-D printed dipole antenna (width≪length). From numerical results of current distributions, it is found that this analytical method is valid and useful for planer antennas.
