The gust load alleviation contmol system for two-dimensional wing by manipulating the control surface, is designed by means of H_∞ control theory and the numerical simulations of its system are carried out. In H_∞ control theory, the stability of the system is maintained for the variation of the system characteristics and the influence of the disturbance for the system is alleviated. The variations of the system characteristics and disturbance are weibcted in the frequency domain in order to determine which one is more important. The disturbance alleviation is considered only for the vertical displacement of the wing. For the response due to vertical gust Dryden model, the alleviation by H_∞ control system is very useful for the gust load alleviation in the case which the frequency range of the gust is known but its prediction is impossible.
