Authors have performed the research on the resolution process of NO_x gases by RF (Radio Frequency) discharges. The resolution process of NO_x gases was investigated using the emission and infrared spectroscopic methods. In this work, the changes of emission intensity ratio of NO_2,NO, N_2,and O in NO_2 gas by the RF discharge were observed by using the emission spectroscopic method. In addition, the infrared absorption spectrum of discharge reaction prducts in gas were measured by the infrared spectroscopic method, and the discharge products were specified. The experimental results showed that the reaction-resolution process in NO_2 gas by the RF discharge was able to be divided into four stages, and the process at each stage was discussed. The discharge resolution process of NO_2 gas is clarified by this work.
