Authors have already reported that the ternary gas mixtures, comprised of SF_6,N_2,and c-C_4F_8 have excellent dielectric characteristics under both uniform and non-uniform fields. Therefore, they are simulating the corona discharge in the gases to discuss in more detail the dielectric characteristics under non-uniform fields. In the previous paper, they simulated the corona discharge at a positive point-to-plane gap the one-dimensional continuity equations presented by R. Morrow, and discussed the characteristics of the positive corona discharge in the gas mixtures. In this paper, they simulate the negative corona discharge pure SF_6 and the gas mixtures using almost the same method. They specifically discuss about the effect of secondary electron emissions from the cathode in pure SF_6,and the pulse current charcteristics and development of the negative corona in the gas mixtures.
