• Nonlinear evolutions of oblique collision are investigated experimentally on the plane ion-acoustic solitons in two-dimen-sional space. The observed many of the characteristics of inelastic collision of solitons are found to be similar to those of resonance interactions described by nonlinear ion acoustic waves.
