By applying low frequencies radially between a chamber wall and a plasma column along a uniform magnetic field, a radial standing-like diffusion wave is found at a synchronized frequency whose half a period is equal to a diffusion time. The radial diffusion wave is explained from superposing a radial diffusion stream effect on a radial plasma resistance characteristic.
