This paper is dealing with a non-destructive testing method by means of free torsional pendulum, and with adopting thin wires of 1 mm in diameter for studying the hydrogen embrittlement in metals. The purpose of present work is aimed to find the effectiveness of these experimental procedure how can classify the degree of alternation of the wires by the embrittlement. The experiments were done for the wires which were subject to electroplating. As metals for plating to the wires, Cu, Ni and Cr were applied. In this case Cr gave some effects on the wire specimens. In the ion plating, metals to be evaporated were adopted to protect the embrittlement by hydrogen. According to Latin Square, one of the design of experiment, three factors of a sort of metal for plating, the temperature and the pressure of hydrogenation were chosen. The factors of the temperature and pressure gave more harmful actions on the embrittlement to the specimen than a factor of kind of metals.
