We have developed a local inductive detection scheme to probe a moving domain wall in magnetic nanowires using a waveguide-type antenna. We show that not only can this technique determine the temporal variation of the wall position along the nanowire but also can probe the dynamics associated with the wall motion. The induced voltage developed in the antenna, caused by the wall's fringing field, increases with the wall velocity and scales roughly with the inverse of antenna width. This technique provides a useful tool to electrically study domain wall dynamics in any nanostructured magnetic material.
