Characteristics of ceramic metal halide lamps have been surveyed and we report the technologies around them. This paper describes the technologies used in ceramic metal halide lamps which are alumina ceramic tube, sealing technology and the doses in the tube. Ceramic metal halide lamps have main three features as a light source which are high efficacy, high color rendering index and long life, and they are expected to expand in the markets.
