• Recently Radio frequency identification (RFID) has attracted much interest from both the industrial and academic fields. As RFID technology enables to automatically identify each item and capturing more data by using radio waves, the necessity for processing the huge amount of the related data stream gets much larger. Accordingly, in order to manage the related information an efficient middleware which handles the raw-data or event captured from RFID device is essential for providing ubiquitous information service. This paper discusses a RFID-based middleware system which mediates between the multiple RFID devices and the information accessing applications, with a view to connecting physical objects with their digital information. Functional components of the middleware system as well as the system structure are illustrated and the demonstration implemented is shown with description. We hope this research would activate further researches about RFID and USN applications
